The Masterclass on January 19th in New York with Stephen Hammer was a huge success!  Lindsay McIntosh, Allen Hamrick, Kendra Hawley, and Ellen Hindson played beautifully and Mr. Hammer gave a fascinating speech on rhetoric in performance and rhetorical gestures in music. At the end, everyone got to try out several baroque oboes, oboes d’amore, and even a brand new oboe da caccia! It was lovely to have so many oboe players from so many backgrounds together, sharing ideas and experiences.
